“Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future.”

The Zainab Memorial B.Ed Centre, Cherkala, under the Ektara College Union 2025–26, in association with IQAC, celebrated World Food Day on October 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Campus Courtyard.

The theme for this year’s celebration was “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future.” The event aimed to promote healthy eating habits, sustainable food production, and collective responsibility in ensuring food security for all.

A special highlight of the celebration was the “Charumuru Preparation” activity. All students and teachers actively participated by preparing and sharing charumuru and orange juice together. The courtyard was filled with laughter, happiness, and the spirit of togetherness as everyone enjoyed the delicious treats. The activity beautifully reflected unity, joy, and the pleasure of sharing simple, healthy foods made with love.

The World Food Day Celebration 2025 was a joyful and memorable event that strengthened the bond among students and teachers while spreading awareness about better food habits and sustainable living.
