The Zainab Memorial B.Ed Centre, Cherkala, affiliated with Kannur University, celebrated World Teachers’ Day on 6th October 2025 (Monday) with great enthusiasm and respect for the teaching community. The event was organized in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and was held at the Campus Auditorium. The theme of the celebration was “Text to Next: The Future Teacher Pedagogy”, focusing on the changing roles and responsibilities of teachers in the modern educational era.
The programme commenced at 10:30 AM with a welcome address by Ms. Aleena, who warmly greeted the dignitaries, faculty members, and student teachers.The presidential address was delivered by Ms. Neena, Principal of Zainab College,who spoke about the noble profession of teaching and encouraged student teachers to uphold the values of patience, compassion, and lifelong learning.
The inaugural address was given by Mr. Joshymon K. T., State Award Recipient for Best Teacher. In his inspiring speech, he discussed the transformation of student generations and how attitudes and learning behaviors have changed over time.The Chief Guest, Mr. Subin Jose, Resource Person from S.C.E.R.T., delivered a captivating session on the theme “Text to Next The Future Teacher Pedagogy.” He focused on the need to understand the present generation of students their emotions, challenges, and learning styles.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Smitha E. T. from the Natural Science Department, who expressed sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for making the event a grand success. Mr. Ameen Hussain, the Chairman, and Ms. Smitha Teacher, the Union Advisor, also shared their reflections on the importance of teacher development and the continuous pursuit of educational excellence.
