The National Reading Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and intellectual spirit at Zainab Memorial B.Ed Centre, Cherkkala, on Thursday, 19th June at 10:00 AM in the college auditorium. The programme was organized in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and aimed to foster the habit of reading among students and educators.
The event was inaugurated with a solemn prayer led by Bilna Sebastian, the General Captain, marking the formal beginning of the day’s proceedings. It was followed by a warm Welcome Speech delivered by Kavya Chandran V, the Vice-Chairperson, who extended greetings to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Bindhu P V, Assistant Professor of Education, who highlighted the legacy of National Reading Day and its founder, P.N. Panicker.
Dr. Neena M K, the esteemed Principal of the institution, officially inaugurated the function.
A special Book Donation ceremony took place as part of the event, promoting the concept of sharing knowledge and expanding the college library resources.
The Felicitation was offered by Ganeshan P V, Assistant Professor of Education.Vote of Thanks delivered by Rahimabi, a Commerce student.
