The Union and Fine Arts Inauguration Programme of Zainab Memorial B.Ed Centre, Cherkala, was held with great enthusiasm and participation. The event commenced with a solemn prayer by the college team, invoking blessings for a successful academic year.
The session began with a welcome speech delivered by Mrs. Smitha V K, Union Advisor, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The presidential address was delivered by Mr. Ameen Husain A S, Chairman of the College Union (2025–26), who expressed his vision for the activities of the college union in the upcoming year.
The principal’s address was given by Dr. Neena M K, Principal of Zainab Memorial B.Ed Centre, who congratulated the newly elected union members and encouraged them to take up initiatives that promote leadership and creativity.
The formal Union Inauguration was conducted by Mr. Kunjikrishnan P P, a renowned cine actor, who inspired students with his motivating words and life experiences. The Fine Arts Inauguration was graced by Mr. Devikiran, a popular singer and the alumni of the college ,who shared his artistic journey and highlighted the importance of art and culture in education.
The felicitation session featured inspiring words from Mr. Muneer P Cherkalam (Vice Chairman, PTA 2025–26), Mrs. Bindhu P V (Assistant Professor of General Education), Ms. Sruthi M (Assistant Professor of Performing Arts), and Mr. Mohammed Hassan Sabith (Former Chairman, College Union 2024–25). Their felicitations encouraged the students to pursue excellence in academics, arts, and community activities.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Delna Mathew, Fine Arts Secretary, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their valuable presence and cooperation.
The highlight of the day was the creative cultural programme presented by the students followed by the official inaugural session.
