The Club Inauguration Ceremony of Zainab Memorial B.Ed Centre, Cherkala was held with much enthusiasm on Wednesday, 10th September 2025 at 10:00 AM in the college auditorium. The event was organized in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and it marked an important milestone in the academic year by formally launching the institution’s clubs.
The programme commenced with a prayer by the college team, which set a serene
atmosphere. This was followed by a welcome address by Ms. Aleena L Sunny, Staff Advisor, who warmly greeted the dignitaries, faculty, and students.
The function was presided over by Dr. Neena M K, Principal, who in her presidential address emphasized the importance of co-curricular activities in shaping teachers of the future.
The highlight of the day was the formal inauguration of the clubs through a creative video reveal. The video, projected on the auditorium screen, displayed the names of the clubs one by one in a visually engaging manner, accompanied by lively music. This innovative approach captivated the audience and gave the inauguration a modern touch.
Following the reveal, the clubs were officially declared open by Mr. Vinod Kumar
Kuttamath, Lecturer, DIET, Kasaragod, who also delivered the inaugural address.
The felicitation was offered by Mr. Ganesan P V, Assistant Professor of General
Education, who congratulated the institution for creating opportunities that go beyond academics.
The clubs inaugurated included the Commerce Club, Literature Club, Library Club, Eco Tech Club, Arts Club, Tourism Club, Social Club, and Sports Club.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Smitha V K, Union Advisor, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, dignitaries, and participants. The event ended with renewed energy, leaving students eager to engage in the year’s vibrant club activities.
